Overview

Located in the southwest region of Sunnyvale, West Valley is a mostly residential neighborhood surrounded by private educational centers and prized public schools alike. West Valley is defined by streets lined with shady trees and, since it is flanked by Cupertino and Los Altos, the community enjoys excellent proximity to major attractions both in Sunnyvale and its adjacent cities.

Highways 280 and 85 form the lower boundaries of the community, affording commuters excellent access to Silicon Valley employers. Serra Park, an immense recreational area with two baseball diamonds and three green fields, anchors the entire neighborhood, and presents residents with a central hangout to gather and unwind. Amenities like pharmacies, cafes, and eateries are scattered on the outskirts of the neighborhood, providing convenient options to residents without interfering with the calm suburban ambience of West Valley. The neighborhood is also situated in an advantageous area for access to coveted schools; a family living in a house at the far end of the neighborhood only has to drive ten minutes to any of the three highly ranked public schools. Boasting both coveted centrality and suburban relaxation, West Valley is well regarded as a haven for Silicon Valley families.
