Overview
Los Altos carries a sense of history and timelessness throughout its many areas, and the Country Club neighborhood offers an authentically rustic reflection of this atmosphere. Nestled along the foothills of the San Antonio Open Space Preserve, this picturesque neighborhood includes winding streets, abundant greenery, and breathtaking views.
The community takes its name from the establishment that made its development possible. Founded in 1923, the prestigious Los Altos Golf & Country Club was developed from a 700-acre tract of scenic land, and its remaining acreage was subdivided into residential plots. As the centerpiece of the neighborhood, the club offers luxurious amenities for the whole family in addition to panoramic vistas from every direction.
While the neighborhood was a planned development, every one of its homes is custom-built. Together, they boast an eclectic blend of architecture styles with a mix of original homes and newer construction. Average lots are a quarter-acre in size. No shops are native to the neighborhood, but shopping centers are within easy walking distance.
Due to the winding topography, residents enjoy privacy and a sense of distance from busy Silicon Valley. Country Club is generally a peaceful community, and a favorite for retirees, avid golfers, and professionals with families.
