Cuesta Park

Overview

The history of Cuesta Park is the story of countless suburbs across America. Once a prune orchard, the land was purchased by developers after World War II to build homes for returning veterans looking to settle down. Many were drawn to Mountain View for the beautiful California weather, employment opportunities, and affordable nature of these unassuming homes. As was the style at the time, most residences are modest Ranch-style homes on small lots. There have been some renovations and new construction but, in general, the neighborhood retains its mid-century feel as residents have tried to adhere to its original character. A cozy ambience permeates the area since homes are close together, allowing neighbors to get to know one another.

Located within just a few minutes of Downtown Mountain View and the shopping, dining, and entertainment available on and around Castro Street, Cuesta Park provides its residents with easy access to endless options. Additionally, the namesake of the neighborhood, Cuesta Park, is a large, verdant park with sports courts, a playground, and areas set aside for picnics and barbecues. Because of its ease of day-to-day living, the neighborhood is a preferred spot for modern buyers seeking a home that can adapt to their busy lifestyles.
