Overview
The Whisman neighborhood is a compilation of Whisman Station and North Whisman, two distinct communities that offer both residential options and office space for major companies. Employers like Google, Symantec, and many other tech operatives have set up shop all around the two sub-areas, so neighboring residential developments are prime targets for those who work at these companies and nearby outfits like LinkedIn, Microsoft, and NASA. Plus, the fact that Highways 85, 101, and 237 surround Whisman make it a very attractive option for residents who work or travel frequently throughout the Bay Area.
Whisman Station and North Whisman are very similar in their desirability. Whisman Station is one of the newest, most luxurious neighborhoods in all of Mountain View. Built in 1998, the 53-acre development is a mix of well-appointed townhomes and single-family homes that have been in high demand ever since the development began. North Whisman is a neighborhood with a similarly bright future, boasting a mix of old and new single-family homes, condominiums, and townhomes to satisfy just about every price-point. Furthermore, the trails, parks, and downtown proximity provided by the Whisman community help solidify its reputation as not only a commuter’s paradise, but also as an exciting place to call home.
