Dear Julie, Home buying is a stressful event in this uncertain economy, because the timing of selling one house and purchasing another one involves infinite complicated factors such as price fluctuation, inventory, interest rate, and most of all, available buyers. June & I picked perhaps the most challenging time, the winter holiday season for this endeavor. Initially, we wanted to be conservative and sell our Sunnyvale residence before we purchase our Los Altos upgrade. We ended up switching to purchasing the Los Altos home first and then selling the Sunnyvale one and the experience was predictable, effortless, and in the end, financially advantageous. Throughout the process, Julie provided timely and insightful data, but let us make the decisions. When we switched order, she didn’t panic, but instead helped us with a systematic search of the limited inventory and found the perfect house for our needs (which by the way we missed on our own internet search). Within one week of moving into Los Altos, the Sunnyvale house had gone through the necessary preparation and was on the market & subsequently sold within a week. Julie took the responsibility of handling all paperwork, much of the meeting coordination, and minute details that we would’ve done ourselves. Of course, both houses also went through some unexpected issues during the escrow period, but Julie helped us put each into it proper perspective and resolve with the other party smoothly. Ultimately, we completed the house move smoothly, and probably profited financially from the order Julie suggested. Real estate business is a people business, and while there are many successful and experienced professionals in the lucrative Bay Area, I have heard of few with the personal touch, dedication, and finesse as Julie.
