CLOVER AVE
MENLO PARK

Thoughtful & Thorough Renovation, Menlo Park

This original Mid-Century Modern Eichler-built home was in need of updating. It was designed with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on a single level that opened to a spacious wraparound yard with drought-tolerant landscaping. It also boasted a superb location less than 2 miles from Google.

FRONT

Before:

The house’s exterior was painted in a faded green that washed away all curb appeal, while years of drought had left bare patches throughout the front yard.

After:

Fresh landscaping, a stylish new garage door, and a trendy slate-grey paint job breathed fresh life into the exterior. By adding more blue tones, features like the original red brick and beautiful new landscaping were highlighted in place of the formerly dingy façade.

LIVING ROOM

Before:

The home’s main gathering area looked tired and dark, sectionalized by the wooden barrier by the entrance. Though it exhibited several wonderful features, its potential was overshadowed by the room’s gloomy, outdated style.

After:

By emphasizing the room’s beautiful picture window and removing the wooden barrier, we capitalized on the flow of natural light into the room. We added recessed lighting, repainted the walls in a lighter scheme, and refinished the hardwood floors to enhance the area’s gracious character.

KITCHEN

Before:

Design-wise, the kitchen had been practically untouched for decades. The original cabinetry was showing its wear, and everything about the space seemed neglected and old-fashioned.

After:

We delivered a drastic overhaul that re-established this kitchen as the heart of the home. In addition to replacing everything from cabinets to countertops, we added fine details like stainless appliances and functional amenities like under-cabinet lighting to lend both style and functionality.

BEDROOM

Before:

This drab, dim bedroom offered nothing in the form of hospitality to potential buyers.

After:

We repainted the room in a light, stylish color scheme to give it a serene ambience, then added comfortable, cozy staging furniture to make the best possible impression on potential buyers.

BATHROOM

Before:

An immense lack of style made this bathroom feel disheveled, uncomfortable, and dysfunctional.

After:

Upgrades like paint, lighting, and hardware beautifully accented the new vanity and trendy vessel sink. By adding these thoughtful cosmetic touches, we recreated the room into a place buyers could see themselves living in.
