Overview
The Hidden Valley area of Woodside is a close-knit, woodsy neighborhood of a few dozen homes on large parcels of land, enveloped by lush forests, vineyards, and abundant wildlife. Much of the neighborhood enjoys fantastic views of the San Francisco Bay, Windy Hill Preserve, and the surrounding rolling hills and woodlands. Housing styles are varied and tend to boast rustic flair, including old cabins and remodeled hunting lodges, plus more modern homes built in the past few years.
Residents enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the neighborhood, as well as the natural open spaces that provide room for horse pastures and homes for deer, mountain lions, coyotes, and many different types of birds. Although homes are spread far apart, neighbors keep in touch via an email list and gather regularly for community events. At the southern tip of the neighborhood is Portola Valley Town Center, which gives residents plenty of opportunities for social mingling and recreation. In addition, Hidden Valley’s location between Sand Hill Road and Interstate 280 make it a prime choice for resident commuters. With such an amiable balance of community, proximity, privacy, and serenity, Hidden Valley presents itself as a fine option for busy residents searching for low-key living.
